The AORS categories will be used for The Doctor.

Competitor’s age category is based on the age bracket they are turning in the 2021 calendar year. Your age as of 31/12/21. For more information refer to the AORS event page here.
Category note: For prizes and awards there must be at least 5 entries in the category. Where there are less than 5 entries then those competitors will be moved to the next most relevant category.

**** Entries close at midnight on Wednesday 17th November 2021 for all events to prepare for WA Race Week. No late entries will be taken after this date.
Elite Entry Fee (in addition to above entry fees)
Open and Masters $100, Under 18 $50
If the brand of ski you are paddling is one of the sponsors of the event you are exempt from this fee. Our sponsors are as follows: Fenn, Epic, Nordic Kayaks and All Wave.
The Elite Category is for those competitors that wish to be eligible for prize money. Prize money will be updated soon.
Craft Transport to Rottnest Island Fee
This is for transport of your craft only to Rottnest Island on the barge we organise. Numbers are limited. You can book this when entering online. There is also the option to take your craft on the ferry with Rottnest Fast Ferries. You will need to book this directly with them.
- $40 for all single craft
- $60 for all double craft

Entry Refunds & Cancellations
Postponement due to COVID-19
If the event is not able to proceed due to ongoing restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic the event will be postponed to 2022. Entrants should take this into consideration when entering.
If the event is postponed all entries will be carried over to the 2022 event date. If you require a refund, please submit a request in writing within 2 weeks of the postponement. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our normal Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all other refund requests as outlined below.
Normal Entry Refunds and Cancellations
Entry cancellations can be made up to two weeks before the event date when a refund (less 20% administration fee) will be made. Refunds will not be given after this date. Please send requests for refunds in writing to email@example.com. If the event has to be cancelled due to weather conditions or natural disasters or any other reason so deemed by the organisers, the event will be rescheduled where possible and no refunds will be issued.
*A note on Insurance
The event organiser, Oceanpaddler, has public liability insurance. This does not include or cover personal accident insurance for the competitors. All other insurances are the sole responsibility of the competitors.
