Fenn Cup 1 Update

Fenn Cup 1 Update

Gidday all you downwind revellers.

For those that can see the image below downwind doesn’t look like it is going to happen tomorrow. In fact the little bit of wind blowing from the WSW in the morning is expected to swing to the North East in the afternoon, still only very weak.

So with this in mind we have opted to shorten both courses and utilise (to the best of our ability) the big swell that is hitting the coast.

This will mean an out and back course the Fenn Cup will be 14 k and the Finn Coastal Dash 7k. The course will take us out past Long Reef Headland and back in towards Narrabeen Beach. The opportunity will be there to ride ocean swell without putting the competitors in harms way.

Registrations will take place at Long Reef SLSC from 10am till 1pm. You must go here first to collect your timing chip. Both races will start at Fishermans at 2pm. Presentations will take place at Long Reef SLSC from 4pm onwards. Race briefing at 1.30pm at Fishermans.

We apologize for not providing the wind it just isn’t playing ball for us.  At least we don’t have to drive anywhere and there will be some pretty fun waves out there to ride and your wives, husbands and better halves can bask in the sunshine at Fishermans Beach.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Good luck!
