Saturday 15th January, 2011 sees Long Reef SLSC host the 3rd Round of the Fenn Cup Ocean Racing Series. Between 150 and 200 competitors from all over Australia will paddle from Palm Beach to Long Reef SLSC with the race starting at 2pm. This race series is the clubs major fundraising effort for 2010/11 with those funds previous earmarked towards lifesaving and rescue operations.

Long Reef SLSC is proud to announce that all the monies that Long Reef SLSC make from the Fenn Cup Ocean Series race on Saturday 15th January, 2011 will be donated directly to flood relief efforts. Long Reef SLSC hopes to raise around $4000 from the Fenn Cup Ocean Paddle on Saturday and although this is a drop in the ocean compared with the estimated $15 billion to rebuild Queensland it will help in some small way.
