Get ready for a fast and furious 2km sprint from Watermans to Sorrento Beach in the Race One Twilight Dash.
Open to SLSA Spec prone paddleboards and, new for 2025, 16yrs & under SLSA Spec surf ski paddlers.
With $55,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs – including the massive $20,000 Race One Surf Club Draw – this is one event you don’t want to miss.
In the SLSA Prone Paddleboard division, there’s a whopping $40,000 in cash up for grabs — $20,000 each for the Men’s and Women’s categories, spread across the top 10 finishers!
The winners of the 16yrs & Under Surf Ski Dash (both men and women) will take home a brand new FENN Ocean Ski valued at $4,350, plus a Race One Braca Paddle! 2nd and 3rd place in both will also each receive a brand new Race One Braca Paddle.
In what is already an action packed week of racing this midweek showdown promises non-stop excitement on the water and an electric atmosphere on the beach.
Simply enter and your club goes into the Race One Surf Club Lucky Draw, for a chance to win either $10k, $6k, $4k of Race One Surf Craft equipment.
Perfect for spectators, Sorrento Beach offers a front-row seat to all the action as paddlers race the clock and each other in this high-energy twilight dash. Spectators can follow the race along the famous boardwalk, WAs best ocean viewing platform.

Course
Start: Watermans Bay
Finish: Sorrento Beach
Distance: 2km
Competitors will start at Watermans then head north. They will come into the beach to the south of Sorrento, run around a flag, then get back on their boards. They will then continue on, and finish at Sorrento Beach with a short run up to the finish arch.
Timings
For those racing both surf ski and paddleboard races – when you finish the surf ski race you must go straight back up to Watermans Bay ready for the board start.

Age Category is based on your age as of 31st December 2025.
SLSA Spec Prone Paddleboard Categories:
Open Male and Open Female categories include everyone in that gender. For example if a 23 & Under Male competitor is the first male across the line, he will be awarded 1st Place in the Open category.
SLSA Spec Ski Categories:

There must be at least 5 competitors in your category to be eligible for prize money and prizes. Where there are less than 5, those competitors will be moved to the Open category.
Every entry goes into the draw to win one of three Race One Surf Craft Vouchers for your surf club.
At the event presentation, we will draw the tickets. If your name is pulled out, your surf club will win!
