Latest Info as at 7am Saturday morning:
- Race 1 Nine Mile will start at Black Head at 2.15pm and finish at Forster
- Be at Black Head by 1.30pm ready for briefing
- Rego at Forster Event hub behind surf club from 9am to 12.30pm today.
- Further updates regarding Sundays race will be provided later.

The event safety number is the Oceanpaddler mobile. 0422 554 965. We suggest you save this in your phone.
Life360 Tracking
We will use tracking via the Life 360 App. We will email all racers information on how this will be used. We will also go over this on Friday night at the dinner.

Program
We are monitoring conditions closely. At this stage the program is as follows. Further updates will be provided via email.
Friday 13th September
- 6pm – Shaw and Partners Welcome Dinner at The Sicilian, Forster (pre-purchased tickets only).
Saturday 14th September
- 9am – Registrations open at the event hub located behind Forster Surf Club.
- 2.15pm – Race 1 Shaw and Partners Nine Mile Cup. Starting at Black Head and finishing at Forster.
- 4pm after race – Presentations – back at Forster event hub.
Sunday 15th September
At this stage we are looking at a 10am start. The course is yet to be finalised. We will email further updates on Saturday. For those only doing Sunday’s race you will be able to register at the start of the event.
Timing Chips
If you are racing in both Race 1 and Race 2 you will be issued with one timing chip to be used for both races. It is your responsibility to ensure you do not lose your timing chip and you must wear it on your ankle for both races. At the conclusion of Race 2 you need to hand the timing chip back as soon as you cross the line. Any lost timing chips will incur a $50 fee.
If you are racing in Race 1 only then please ensure you hand the timing chip back as soon as you finish the race. All timing chips will be collected after Race 2.
If you are only racing in Race 2 then you can collect your timing chip at the start location. We will advise these details on Saturday.
Mandatory Equipment
- Please ensure you have the correct equipment. Anyone who does not have the required equipment will be disqualified and not permitted to race. Click here for detailed info.

- Safety Leash
- Orange Smoke Flare (in date)
- Pealess Whistle
- Mobile Phone with tracking or PLB (If carrying a PLB you are exempt from carrying a flare)
