Fenn Cup 2 this Saturday

Fenn Cup 2 this Saturday

This weekend promises to see a record field on hand for Smartline Fenn Cup 2. Winds are looking more and more favourable for a South – North run from Fishermans to Palm Beach.  If the wind reaches the predicted strengths of 20-30 kilometres any hint of south in that wind will mean an awesome downwind run. For all paddlers on all craft these conditions make for a very technical race especially around the headlands and the distorted wind and waves that come from them. Obviously the more the wind moves to the south the better this race is going to be. If conditions stay the same then once again both Fenn Cup and Finn Kayaks Coastal Challenge will start at Fishermans Beach. Fenn Cup will go to Palm Beach Southern Corner  (Oceanside) and Finn race will go to Mona Vale Basin. That will mean two separate finishes. Both finish locations are protected from the surf so there will be no problems getting in. Registrations will all take place at Long Reef SLSC from 10am till 1pm. Please give yourself enough time to get to rego then over to the start. This will enable some people to car pool for the Mona Vale and Palm Beach finishes. Presentations will take place at Long Reef SLSC from 5pm. Remember conditions may change by Saturday and we will keep you updated via our website and emails. Online entries close Friday midday. You can enter on the day however a $15 late fee applies.
