Anytime Fitness AORS National Series presented by Men’s Fitness

It was huge season for ocean paddling over the last few months. Around 900 competitors contested one or some of the nine events in this year’s series.

For some of the categories it came down to the very last race, The Bridge to Beach, last week in tough conditions on Sydney Harbour.

This series would not have been possible without the generous support of Anytime Fitness and Men’s Fitness Magazine as the major sponsors. We also had very generous support from Thorzt, Stellar, Fenn, Nelo, and ASN.

The series was also well looked after by a large number of product sponsors.

The nine events took us as far North as Coffs Harbour, South to Torquay and Adelaide and of course West to what is regarded as the World’s biggest and most competitive race, The Doctor.

We want to take the opportunity to thank the various event organizers and their sponsors who put the time and effort into all the events.

The 2015-2016 season promises to be bigger than the previous with new events joining the series. We can’t give away too much at this point but what we can tell you is the opening event will be sooner than later with the first race of the 2016 AORS being the Clash of the Paddles at Hamilton Island in June.

During the last season we gave away 9 accommodation packages to Hamilton Island for this event. If you were not lucky enough to win one of those, it is well worth considering making the journey this winter as this event is a must do.

At this stage all the other events will be run again for this coming season along with a couple of new ones bringing the series to around 12 events.
