Congratulations to FENN paddlers Jeremy Cotter and Kirsty Holmes for their gold medal performances in the 20 Beaches on the weekend.
Another strong performance from Jeremy Cotter finishing 48 seconds ahead of fellow FENN paddler Murray Stewart. For Murray this was an important race with double points up for grabs in the final round of the Ocean Series. Murray’s strong performance finishing in 2nd place was good enough to take out the Ocean Series title for 2009. Congratulations Murray!!
Mean while in the women race Kirsty Holmes and Hawaiian paddler Lauren Bartlett had a tough race battling it out down the coastline. But Kirsty was just too good on the day crossing the line 10 seconds ahead of Lauren to take out the women race with Jasmin Kelly finishing in 3rd place.
