The Palm 2 Pines will take place again in 2017. The first Palm 2 Pines (P2P) event was ran way back in 1996 along with the first ever King of the Harbour. After a long break from the calendar the event came back to the national series in 2016.

The Northern Beaches will be graced with the very best ocean paddlers in the world across all the ocean racing disciplines – surf ski, OC1, prone paddleboards and SUPs.

We have numerous courses available to secure the best downwind conditions for this event. At present the event will run from Station Beach, Palm Beach to the famous pines of Fishermans for Skis and OC1s, and Avalon to Fishermans for SUPs and Paddleboards but will change to suit.

Prior to 2016, the last time the Palm 2 Pines was run (1997) it was won by legendary South African Paddler Herman Chalupsky who is still doing the rounds today.

The last event in almost a month of great events The Palm 2 Pines promises to be one of the biggest events on the eastern seaboard.

The Palm 2 Pines is an event of the Australian Ocean Racing Series.

ACT for Kids 2013 [P] Landscape

The Palm to Pines Event supports Act for Kids.

Act for Kids is an Australian charity working tirelessly to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect. They provide professional therapy and support services to children and young people who have experienced child abuse or neglect, and early support for families at risk. Act for Kids has helped thousands of children and families since it was established in 1988.

Their multidisciplinary teams provide intensive therapy, sexual abuse counselling, safe houses in remote Indigenous communities, youth mentoring, a protective behaviours program, family coaches and a preschool designed for abused and neglected children with additional developmental needs to ensure they are set up for success at school.

All of these services are provided free of charge to clients. While they receive some government funding, Act for Kids relies heavily on donations and fundraising to expand and develop their services and reach out to more children and families in need.
