How the Points and Bonus Prize Money Works
The Forster Race Week is a mini-series within the Shaw and Partners AORS. So if you do well over both races you may be eligible for bonus prize money.
The AORS point score system will be used for the two races. The points for each event are outlined below under the prize money.
- Race 1 – The Nine Mile – is a 2 star event
- Race 2 – The Forster Ocean Classic – is a 3 star event
Competitors are awarded points for each race based on their placings in that race. The combined points from both races will determine the competitors overall placing in the Forster Race Weekend Series and the Bonus Prize Money will be awarded based on that placing.
Race 2 Forster Ocean Classic is a 3 star event therefore has a higher points value than Race 1 Nine Mile that is a 2 star event. See below for the points.
*** To be eligible for prize money there must be at least 5 competitors in the category and you must be present at presentation.
